Pip Pip terms of use
Last updated 25 October 2026.
These terms apply when you use the Pip Pip app. By creating an account, you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains what we do with your data.
1. Who we are
Pip Pip is made and run by Alexander Harvey-Falkboo in Sweden ("we", "us"). Contact: hello@pippipapp.com.
2. What Pip Pip is, and what it isn't
Pip Pip helps parents tell each other that a child is on the way, and confirm that the child has arrived, with a tap.
Pip Pip is not a safety or emergency service. It doesn't track anyone's location and doesn't know where a child is. It only passes on what parents tap. Notifications depend on phones, networks and Apple's and Google's push services, so they can be late, or not arrive at all.
- Keep your own arrangements with other families. Don't rely on Pip Pip alone to know that a child is safe.
- If you're worried about a child, call the other family directly.
- In an emergency, call 112.
3. Who can use Pip Pip
- You must be at least 18 and a parent or guardian, or another adult who looks after the children you add.
- Only add children you're responsible for, and only add information about them that you're allowed to share.
- Children don't use Pip Pip and can't have accounts.
- During the pilot, you need a Swedish or Danish phone number to sign up.
4. Your account
- You sign in with your phone number and a code we send by text message. One account per person.
- Keep your phone and its lock secure. Anyone who can open Pip Pip on your phone can act as you.
- Keep your details correct, so other families can recognise you.
- You can delete your account in the app at any time (Privacy and your data, then Delete my account).
5. Using Pip Pip fairly
You agree not to:
- connect with families you don't know, or pretend to be someone else
- use Pip Pip to harass, frighten or mislead anyone
- put web addresses, adverts or anything unlawful in names or notes
- try to get at data you shouldn't see, break or overload the service, or copy, resell or reverse-engineer the app
6. What you add
What you add (names, notes, arrivals and questions) stays yours. You allow us to store it and show it to the families you choose, only so that Pip Pip works, and for as long as the privacy policy says. A note about a child is only saved after you give consent, and you can take that consent back by deleting the note.
7. Our app
Pip Pip, its name, design and code belong to us. You may use the app for your own family, free of charge, while these terms apply.
8. Free, and still being tested
Pip Pip is free during the pilot and is still being tested, so things may change, break or be missing. We may change or stop features, or stop the service, and we'll tell you in the app first when we can. If we ever charge for anything, we'll ask you first; nothing becomes paid without your choice.
9. Our responsibility
We build Pip Pip with care, but we can't promise it will always work or that every notification arrives on time. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for loss or harm caused by a late, missed or wrong notification, by what other users add or do, or by the service being unavailable.
Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under the law where you live, or our liability where the law doesn't allow it to be limited, for example for harm we cause deliberately or through gross negligence.
10. Ending
You can stop using Pip Pip and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other families at risk. Where we can, we'll tell you why first.
11. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app before the change takes effect. If you don't agree, you can delete your account.
12. Law and disputes
Swedish law applies. You keep the consumer protections of the country where you live. If something goes wrong, write to hello@pippipapp.com first. If we can't sort it out, consumers in Sweden can turn to Allmänna reklamationsnämnden (ARN), and consumers in Denmark to Forbrugerklagenævnet, or you can go to court where you live.
